Magic Trick - Traffic Light

A trick for children that contains all the components that belong to good children's entertainment.

Colourful memorable props, a polished routine, a playful learning effect in terms of traffic education when the magician gets it all wrong and the children correct him, a clear sequence of effects that children of all ages can follow and, last but not least, an unexpected climax when... But first, let's take it one step at a time.

The magician shows the children a red plastic tube, a clear Plexiglas tube on a base and three balls in the colours of the traffic lights. Playfully, he then works out the colours and their meaning in traffic with the children by "acting dumber than the police allow". Then the Plexiglas tube is covered with the coloured tube and the balls are thrown into the tubes in the correct order. So first the green ball goes down, the yellow one in the middle and the red one on top. Just as it is with a real traffic light.

When the magician pulls off the tube, the order is completely mixed up. The red ball is underneath, while the green one is in the middle underneath the yellow one. No matter how hard the magician tries, he cannot get the balls into the tube in the right order. Then the wizard asks a child to come and help him with the darned colours. Together they discover that it seems to be the red ball that always messes everything up. So this ball is wrapped in a piece of paper and given to the child to hold. The magician now puts the two remaining balls into the tube.

In the child's hand, the wrapped red ball turns into an apple or something similar, while suddenly all three balls are in the correct order in the tube.
