Unicycle Voltige® Acrobatics Belt
Main Product Features
The Unicycle Voltige® acrobatics belt is designed for acrobatic and vaulting exercises. The main belt section fits around the user's waist and features a padded back section for improved comfort. Buckles are used for opening, closing and adjusting the belt, while integrated rings provide attachment points for suitable safety lines.
The acrobatics belt is available in several sizes for different waist measurements. Each size is additionally identified by its own colour marking.
Benefits and Applications
The Voltige® belt is intended for acrobatic exercises requiring an appropriate securing system. Correct sizing, adjustment and the condition of all components must be checked carefully before every use.
When tightening the belt, the small buckle must be positioned in front of the large buckle. The painted red dots must remain visible and be aligned with each other. Flexible components should regularly be inspected for cracks, abrasion, wear and damaged stitching. Rigid components must be checked for deformation, cracks, breakage, oxidation and corrosion.
According to the manufacturer, the belt complies with the static and dynamic requirements of NFC 18-345. The stated mechanical tests showed slipping from 900 kg under static tensile loading without failure of the fastening buckles. During dynamic testing, the fastening buckles started slipping from 730 kg. At 1,180 kg, the rings failed while the buckles showed slight deformation. These test results must not be interpreted as recommended working or user loads.
Further Important Information
The year of manufacture is indicated on the back of the belt. If any damage is detected, the belt must no longer be used and should be withdrawn from service or destroyed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Unicycle also offers a separate twisting belt mounted on an aluminium ring with a ball bearing. This design allows jumps and twisting movements to be combined. The ball bearing must only be lubricated with graphite. Oil and grease must never be used.
